Kelly Jackson Davis, APR is the founder and president of Davis Public Relations and Marketing. An accredited public relations professional with more than a decade of experience in communications management, Davis started her own business in July 2004 with the desire to provide clients with the outstanding personal service and attention they can best receive from a smaller firm.

Davis’ background spans the corporate, government and nonprofit sectors. She previously served as a Marketing-Communications Specialist at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Carolina; Director of Communications at Carolina Children’s Home; Director of Media and Community Relations at the South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services; Communications Strategist at SCANA Corporation; and Director of Public Relations at the Lexington/Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council.

Davis was recognized for excellence early in her career with South Carolina PRSA’s Rookie of the Year Award, and the following year she was selected by a national trade publication, PR Week, as one of their “Top 40 PR Stars Under 40.” She has received nearly a dozen statewide communications awards for public relations programs and tactics from the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America as well as Gold and Silver ADDY’s from the Columbia Advertising Club. She is the 2007 recipient of SCPRSA's W. Thomas Duke Distinguished Public Relations Practitioner of the Year Award.

Davis is an accredited member (APR) of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She is a Past President of the South Carolina Chapter of PRSA and currently serves that organization as a National Assembly Delegate. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina and a master of mass communications degree from the University of South Carolina, where she is a frequent guest lecturer for public relations and journalism courses.
