Kelly Jackson Davis, APR
An accredited public relations professional with more than 16 years of experience in communications management, Kelly started Davis Public Relations and Marketing in 2004 with the desire to provide clients with outstanding personal service and attention. With a public relations career spanning the non-profit, corporate and government sectors, her specialty areas are strategic public relations planning, branding, community relations, media relations and public policy.
Kelly is a past president of the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA), which recognized her in 1997 with its “Rookie of the Year Award” and in 2007 with its “W. Thomas Duke Distinguished Public Relations Practitioner of the Year Award.” A national trade publication, PR Week, recognized her as one of its “Top 40 PR Stars Under 40” in 1998. In the past five years alone, her company has been recognized with more than two dozen industry awards, including SCPRSA’s prestigious Best in Show Awards for 2006 and 2009.
Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina and a Master of Mass Communications degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, where she is a frequent guest lecturer for public relations and journalism courses. She is a 2009 graduate of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Columbia program.
Kelly’s service to her profession and community includes positions on the boards of SCPRSA, PRSA Independent Practitioners Alliance, Rolling Readers of the Midlands and Trenholm Road United Methodist Preschool.
Jeff Davis
Jeff Davis has 18 years of experience in media research, planning and placement. His responsibilities include the long-term growth and day-to-day operations of media planning and buying as well as managing all research initiatives. Jeff has managed dozens of qualitative research projects from moderating focus groups and executive interviews to conducting brand audits. His award-winning work in market research helps form clients’ integrated communications strategies.
Jeff’s client roster has included national accounts such as Shell Oil, Fantastik cleaner, Sears and Michelin as well as South Carolina-based clients like the Medical University of South Carolina, SCANA and Palmetto Health Alliance. He is a cum laude graduate of The University of South Carolina Honors College.
